Linda Derck Majikes held various positions servicing internal and external customers at Signet/First Union Bank for over 11 years from project manager to the Senior Vice President in charge of Corporate Real Estate, Leasing, Purchasing, Security and Facilities Management. She has managed a $40 million annual operating budget and as many as 90 employees in geographic regions across three states. She has designed and implemented performance management systems for real estate, construction and facilities related businesses. Linda has helped clients, create a clear strategic vision and communicate this to their employees. In addition, she has helped analyze start up businesses, particularly for designers, engineers and architects, and has also analyzed and prepared move, sell or close options for clients.
Linda has extensive experience in vendor management, outsourcing, requests for services, service level agreements and negotiation. She has developed skill profiles and core competencies for many positions and has created interviewing questions, benchmarking guides and training plans. Linda has lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing plans for improving customer satisfaction, reducing expenses and re-engineering or innovating processes. Through these activities the focus remains on the value of not just meeting the customer’s expectations, but delighting them with the experience.
Linda has a Masters of Business Administration with a finance concentration, from the R.B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University in 1996. Her undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design is from Virginia Commonwealth University 1982.
